To Install Pro-Steel Edging

Tools Required

  • String or garden hose to lay out your design
  • Flat spade or shovel
  • Small sledge or other hammer to drive stakes
  • Hack saw for cutting length and 1/2 inch notches for bends

Steps to Install

  1. Lay out your plan with stakes and your garden hose or string, carefully marking curved sections.
  2. Use the flat spade or shovel to cut a 2-3 inch trench for the edging along the line you laid out.
  3. Place the edging in the trench making the overlap joints as you go. Curves are easily shaped by hand. A 1/2 inch cut with the hack saw on the top and bottom will help make angles.
  4. With a small sledge or other hammer drive the stakes in until the top of the stake is flush with edging.
